This is one of my favorite documentaries, one I stumbled on one Sunday afternoon channel surfing. Being from Virginia and living here for pretty much my whole life (save for the three years I lived in North Carolina, which - let’s face it - has a similar set of accents), I can understand this dialect, no problem. If you’re reading this and you’re from another part of this country, or from another country - is this difficult for you to understand?
